Karen A. Ballantine, 62, of Catskill, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. She was born on May 22, 1963, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late Francis and Arlene (Smith) Sheeley. Karen was married to her loving husband of 42 years, Roger Ballantine. They wed on October 29, 1983.
She was a graduate of Onteora High School, Class of 1980 and later worked for Taconic DDSO for many years. She was very enthusiastic about scrapbooking and rubber stamping and ran her own business doing so called "Bark at the Moon Studio".
Karen is survived by her husband, Roger Ballantine of Catskill, her sisters, Lynn Sheeley of Woodstock, and Beth Newton of Woodstock, and her niece and nephews, Nicole, Kyle, Troy, Jared, and Hunter.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. Services will be held privately. The family suggests donations in memory of Karen be made to a humane society of your choice.
