My first memory of Karen was when we were about 17 or 18 years old at Rick´s college. She had a picture of Ryan Baxter on her wall from when she was 14. She would say, "I am going to marry him one day." And she did just that! What a beautiful love story they continued over the years adding 6 beautiful kids to their family. Karen was a bright light in this world. Cared deeply for those she loved. My life is better because she was my dear friend. I will miss her everyday until I see her again. Her unwavering faith, zest for life, contagious laugh and beautiful smile will never be forgotten. I love you, Care Bear!!!

She's my first cousin. She always had a smile on her face and was so incredible to pass that around. If something is important to happen in heaven she's the one to take! Feel so bad for Ryan and the kids

First memory: meeting the Baxter family moving into their Needham, MA home. Light emanated from Karen. She brought joy to our church congregation, and served as a devoted volunteer parishioner in our Young Women organization and later as our Compassionate Service Leader. Today, I revisited an archive of emails from those years, and was reminded of her impact in that community, and the power of her spirit.

I truly loved Karen and looked up to her. In high school she decided she would teach dance and started a small clogging studio. I was one of her students. She wasn´t a lot older than our group, but she was extremely talented and energetic, and did a fantastic job. She was also in my church congregation and neighborhood. I admired her talent, ambition and kindness. Anyone that knew her was lucky to know her, as she brought excitement, energy and light everywhere she went.

She was my ministering sister when my husband and I lived in Idaho. She had an infectious smile, laugh, and all around countenance. She was gorgeous inside and out - and will be truly missed. Prayers of peace and healing to her family.

Karen helped orchestrate a group to cover my lawn with blue flamingoes, each with a painted "Y", in anticipation of the Utah/BYU football game (because I'm a Ute fan) - I loved it! I didn't know it was her until much, much later though. I loved her playfulness, cheerfulness, and friendliness.
She has been a big influence on all my children through clogging, through church, and through their friendships with her own kids. She has been a great personal friend with my wife through difficult times. I and my family with miss her dearly but will keep her memory always in our hearts.

Karen always brightened our day when she came into her children's school where I work. She always carried a beautiful smile and grace that did not go unnoticed. I called her our "Disney Princess" Her beautiful spirit is reflected in her sweet children. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Karen was always asking how we were doing and particularly my father even though she has never even met him. She was always smiling
