The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Karen passed away at home on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The family has asked that memorial contributions may be given to Press Church P.O. Box 294, Williston, SC 29853 in honor of Karen.
Born in Honolulu, HI she was a daughter of the late William Dale Ribbeck, Sr. and Glenda Fay Carraway Ribbeck. She was married to James "Jim" Collins for 43 years. Karen was, above all, an exceptional homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, and beloved "Granmommy". A co-founder of Press Church, she was guided by faith and love in all that she did. Karen cherished a good story and a great game, and nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her large and abundant family - a lifelong wish fulfilled. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her loving husband Jim of Williston; her three daughters, Hayley (Jesse) Feldman and their children Loulou and Carlo Feldman of Santa Monica, CA, Madelaine Fay (Jeremiah) Land and their children Noah, Eliza and baby Land of Williston, SC and Lindsay Collins (Jeremy) and their children Julian, Luca and Roman Croft of Charleston, SC; her sister, Cheryl (Tim) Arnold of Johns Island, SC; a nephew, Garrett (Summer) Arnold and a niece, Melanie (Brooks) Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brother, William D "Bill" Ribbeck, Jr.
