Karen DeVries Obituary

Karen is survived by her brother, Mark (Nancy) Wolfe, her sister Linda (Roger) Dimit, daughter-in-law, Lia Cheeks, and her five beloved grandchildren: Joe, Dustin, Ella, and Eva Cheeks, and Joseph Eyerman. She was preceded in death by Ray DeVries, Marlo Cheeks, and Joseph McKinley Cheeks III. She will also be remembered by her nephews, Steven and Adam Dimit.
Karen had a lifelong love for the arts. She enjoyed painting on her phone, was a gifted singer with the Mendelssohn Choir, and also shared her talent through playing the piano. Her creativity and music brought joy to those around her and will remain part of her lasting legacy.
Friends and family are welcome on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. A service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Asbury Heights Benevolent Fund or Humane Animal Rescue Pittsburgh.
