Milstein – Karen Leah Milstein, age 68, of Lake City, Florida passed away on July 3, 2023, at Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida. She was born on February 13, 1955, to the late Guigno Carapellotti and Hazel Hasenbein Carapellotti. After high school, Karen went to Murray State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in English. She enjoyed a long career as a teacher and author but was most passionate about being a Photographer. Karen loved nature photography and owned Wings and Things Photography for years. In the early 80's, Karen met the love of her life, Don Milstein. They were happily married on June 30, 1985, and have enjoyed almost 37 amazing years of marriage. In December of 1998, Karen and Don relocated to South Florida then to Lake City in October of 2020 to be closer to family. Karen loved reading, wildlife, spending time with her family and cats. She was a true treasure and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Milstein.
Karen is survived by her children, Joshua Milstein, Melissa Milstein and Kathryn Milstein; brothers, Karl Carapellotti and Kris Carapellotti; along with many extended family and friends.
