It is with great sadness and heartache that my brother and I announce the passing of our mother, Karen Ann Rose on April 29 2024. She went peacefully in her sleep in her home in San Mateo with her two sons Eric and Nicholas Rose and the two family dogs Bella and Ginger Rose.
Karen was born in San Mateo on December 1st 1951 where she lived her whole life. She went to Aragon High School where she met her late husband Randy Rose in 1969. They married on August 17, 1974 at the Highlands Chapel in Carmel.. Later they had a son Eric, born in 1977 and then Nicholas, born in 1985.
We will forever remember and miss her warm smile and kindness. She loved her family almost to a fault. During her very long hospitalization for non alcoholic fatty liver disease she was always worried about me and my brother and our two dogs.
I'm grateful you were never in any pain during your different hospitalizations and your last two months at home. It was a pleasure for me and my brother to take care of you.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mills Peninsula Medical Center and California Pacific Medical Center Van Ness for taking care of our mother during her two month hospitalization. We would also like to thank Mission Hospice for the care they provided during her last two months of life.
We will miss you but you're in our hearts and memories.
By the request of Karen Rose, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
