Karen Kay Spivey, 55, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, in Mountain Home. She was born on October 8, 1969, in Sweet, Idaho to John Alexander and Ora Leatrice (Hall) Duff. Karen's father was an Assemblies of God minister. Being a PK, she followed in her father's footsteps and became ordained herself. Experiencing heartbreak, Karen found a place ministering to battered and abused women and their children. She truly was a servant of Jesus Christ and had a heart to minister wherever she could. Karen was often found ministering to the elderly in local nursing homes wherever she lived. She married George Alan Spivey on December 7, 2016, in Las Vegas. They moved to Arkansas in October of 2021. They were both active members of Twin Lakes Baptist Church. Karen was a #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by her husband, George Alan Spivey; one daughter, Jasmine Arlene Kinkead; one son, Dallas Wayne Kinkead; one brother, Darrel Duff; two sisters-in-law, Pam Duff and Lenora Irene Spivey; her mother-in-law, Erma Spivey; one brother-in-law, Bobby Aherndt and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack Duff; two sisters-in-law, Sandy Duff and Kathleen Denise Aherndt; her father-in-law, Dan Harold Spivey, Jr. and one nephew, Micah Spivey.
A memorial service will take place at Twin Lakes Baptist Church at a later date.
