Joann, was born and raised in craven county. She worked many years being a caregiver doing CNA work. Joann lived by example - always ready to lend a hand share a smile or offer words of comfort. Through both actions and words, Joann taught us the power of love and the importance of extending that love to others. Joann loved vacationing and spending time with her family.
Joann is survived by her husband, Bobby Stilley; son James Rouse; daughter, Misty Jones and son in love, Julian Jones as well her two grandchildren, Emma and Eli. Joann is preceded in death by her son, John Rouse, mother, Betty Gibble, father, Joseph Jones and sister, Ellen McCoy. Their memories live on in our hearts and we take comfort knowing they are now reunited.
A Celebration of Karen's Life will be held at 10 am on Saturday August 2, 2025, at Juniper Chapel OFWB Church, 655 Piney Neck Road, Vanceboro, NC 28586 with Pastor Mike Scott officiating. Interment will follow the service at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday August 1, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Juniper Chapel OFWB Church for a time of remembrance.
