Karen S. Wenhold, 59, of Lansdale, died Friday, September 8, 2023.
Born May 1, 1964 in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Blanche (Winton) Wenhold.
Karen was employed as a pre-school teacher for over 25 years with La Petite Academy and Family & Friends Daycare, both in Lansdale. More recently, she worked as a teacher's aide at North Penn High School.
Karen was a longtime, dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale, where she was active with the Youth Group and ASP Mission Trips. A graduate of North Penn High School, she was an alumna and active booster of the Marching Knights, and she was an instructor with the North Penn Middle School Indoor Color Guard and Pennridge Marching Band and Indoor Color Guard. Karen also enjoyed coaching North Penn Valley Girls Softball.
Survivors include her brother, Michael R. Wenhold (Jayne) of Quakertown; and her nieces and nephews, Jason (Sarah), Emily (Jesse), Daniel, Melissa (Jeremy), and Kelli; and best friend/sister/caregiver, Aimee Peifer.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Shawn.
Relatives and friends may call between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446 followed by the Memorial Service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Karen's memory to North Penn High School Special Olympics, 1340 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446 or Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Project, address above.
