It is with a heavy heart & great sorrow that we share the news of Karyle Ann Byrd (Bick) passing away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born September 29, 1956, in Ogden Utah, the daughter of Opal & Glenn Bick. Karyle led a life marked by dedication and creativity.
She was employed at Morton/Thiokol (in UT) assembling the explosive components that went into airbags. Upon relocating to Florida in 1998, she took a position as a dispatcher for the Panama City Police Department. She loved anything artistic, whether it be sewing, painting, scrapbooking or making handmade heartfelt gifts for loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing games & laughing or watching the AL Crimson Tide football games with her beloved pet, Piper. She loved the Maya Angelou quote: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel."
Karyle is proceeded in death by her parents, Opal & Glenn Bick, brother Mike Bick & husband Charles Byrd.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Ward & spouse Mason Wilkerson from Panama City, FL and Christine Johnston-Hall & spouse Megan from Port Saint Lucie, FL; her adored granddaughter Claire Wilkerson; her brothers Steve Bick from Ogden, UT and Ken & sister-in-law Cindy Bick of Panama City, FL and many other family members & friends.
