On February 9, 2025, while surrounded by her family, Kasey Nicole Demetrakis (McWilliams), peacefully passed away after a two and a half year battle with breast cancer, at her home in Milford, DE. She was 41.
Kasey was born on February 8, 1984, in Annapolis, MD, to the late John McWilliams and Shawnee McWilliams.
She graduated from South River High School in 2002. Kasey then went to Johnson and Wales College and received an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts with a Major in Baking Pastry.
Kasey worked as Manager of Food Service at Bay Health in Sussex.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, making many wonderful memories and cheering on the Ravens with her son and husband as a converted Raven fan.
Kasey is survived by her husband of 12 years, Michael Demetrakis. She is also survived by her children, Dominic (Bear), Parker (Parker JJ), and Bennett (Ben Ben) Demetrakis, her mother Shawnee McWilliams, her sister, Kristie McWilliams, her nephew, Cooper McWilliams, and many other family members, and 1000s of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John (Tommy) McWilliams, her Grannie, Betty Simmons, and her mother-in-law, Karen Kopp.
A memorial service will be held at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, on Saturday, March 15th, 2025. Doors will open at 2:50 pm, and the service will start at 3:30. The church will have the fellowship hall, livestreamed to the sanctuary, and also on the church's live Facebook page for those out of state and such who are unable to attend. The service will conclude with a short fellowship. Anyone able to carpool is urged to do so.
