Mr. Kassiepersad "Kassie" Rampersad, a beloved pillar of his community and a cherished figure within his extensive family, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Born on April 2, 1952, in Penal, Trinidad, he brought light and joy into this world, and his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched.
Kassie was the proud son of Rampersad Ramnath and Mahadai Sudama, and a nurturing brother to Premraj and Indra. His life was a testament to the values of love and dedication, which he instilled in his own children, Aroon, Navin, Nalini, and Neil. As a father-in-law to Hema and Richard, he extended his warmth and wisdom, and as a grandfather to Mollie, Robbie, and Bruce, he shared his boundless love and playful spirit. Kassie's life was deeply rooted in the extensive Sudama family, and his friendship reached many, touching lives with his generosity and kindness.
After completing his education with an Associate's degree and vocational training, Kassie became a Certified ASE Technician. His passion for cars was not merely a profession but a canvas for his artistry and work ethic. He was a workaholic by nature, but his labor was always infused with passion and precision, qualities that earned him respect and admiration from peers and friends alike.
Kassie's religious faith as a Hindu was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and his outlook on life. He was a man who embodied the principles of his faith-compassion, selflessness, and a commitment to the well-being of others. He found joy in cooking, a process he saw as an act of love, creating nourishing meals that brought people together. His willingness to assist others knew no bounds, and he often extended a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying the very essence of community and service.
Spending quality time with friends and family was Kassie's favorite pastime, and those moments were filled with laughter, wisdom, and memorable stories. His interests were a reflection of his character-loving, friendly, and passionate. He approached every task, every interaction with a zest that was contagious, and he inspired others to live with the same fervor and dedication.
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." Kassie lived by this principle, always placing others before himself and finding great purpose and fulfillment in the joy and comfort he provided. His legacy is not just in the work he did but in the love he shared and the community he built.
Today, as we reflect on the life of Mr. Kassiepersad Rampersad, we are reminded of the power of a life well-lived, one that continues to inspire and motivate us to be better, to love more deeply, and to serve with all our hearts. His departure from this world is not an end, but a transformation-a passage to a new beginning. Let us honor his memory by living as he did, with purpose, love, and a relentless drive to uplift those around us. Kassie's life was a beautiful journey, and his spirit will forever guide us on our own paths.
