Katelyn Jennifer Mooney

Katelyn Jennifer Mooney, 27, of Franklin, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved daughter of Peter V. and Karen T. (Christensen) Mooney, loving sister of Mark Mooney of Franklin and granddaughter of Peggy Christensen of Westboro.
Katelyn is also survived by her aunts, Deb Mangan, Kathy Christensen, Heidi Webber, Pamela Hunt, Sandra Mastorakos, Patti Mooney and Monique Mooney. She is also survived by her uncles Paul Mooney, Philip Mooney, Erik Christensen, Greg Mangan and Bill Judge as well as many cousins and friends.
Katelyn was a lifelong resident of Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 2015.
She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from Framingham State University and worked with autistic children as a behavioral interventionist at Cortica Inc in Shrewsbury.
Katelyn enjoyed playing hockey and softball. She also volunteered at Best Buddies International. She loved being with her family and friends as well as taking her beloved dog, Tucker, for walks. Katelyn also enjoyed listening to music from a variety of different music genres and enjoyed going to concerts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 22nd at St. Mary's Church, One Church Square in Franklin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 21 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin
