Scott City- Katharina Schmidt Neufeld Wiebe, 58, died on Friday September 5, 2025 at Scott County Hospital in Scott City. She was born on August 7, 1967 at Chihuahua, Mexico the daughter of Heinrich & Elizabeth (Schmidt) Neufeld. She married Klass Friessen Wiebe on September 5, 1987 in Bolivia. He died on January 20, 2024.
Katharina attended school in Mexico and then moved to Bolivia. After her marriage they moved back to Mexico in 1988. In 2006 they moved to Copeland for a short time before moving to Scott City in 2007. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking for her family holidays and other events, sewing and especially being involved with her Grandchildren's activities. She was a member of the Reinlander Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her Children- Ana Wiebe and Elizabeth Wiebe both of Cimarron, Maria Kroeker of Canada, Susana Goertzen and Jimmy Wiebe both of Scott City, 4 Brothers, 3 Sisters and 15 Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Reinlander Mennonite Church in Finney County with Pastor Frank Wiebe officiating. Burial will be in Reinlander Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church until service time. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com
