A lifelong lover of the arts, Katharine found joy in the theater and singing, sharing her passion with all who knew her. She had an unwaveringly positive outlook on life, always choosing to see the good in every person and situation. For her, the glass was never just half full-it was overflowing with hope, kindness, and love. More than anything, she cherished her family, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is survived by her son, Chad Deitering (Alexandra), and her beloved grandchildren, James, Luke, and Bo Deitering. She also leaves behind her sister, Sue Smith (Dennis), and her brother, Mark Rich (Susan), as well as many dear friends and extended family members.
