Katherine was retired from the Casino Queen in East St. Louis, IL. She also worked at Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis for many years.
She preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Klaybor; a son, Albert Hatch; her parents, William and Elizabeth, nee Gummersheimer, Pohl; two brothers, Lawrence and Charles Pohl; and two sisters, Betty Ellis and Susan DeLaGarza.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Hatch of Waterloo, IL; her twin brother, William (Sue) Pohl of Farmington, MO; another brother, Thomas (Terri) Pohl of Del Rio, TX; a sister-in-law, Barb Pohl of O'Fallon, MO; and two grandsons, Bernell Thompson III and Robert Thompson. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Condolences may be expressed online at braunfh.com.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
