Katherine Sachs, age 69, of Vineland, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, Katherine was a devoted mother to two beautiful children, Krystal and Jason. Her love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her family. Katherine was predeceased by her mother, Katherine, her father, Edward Sachs, and her dear sister, Jean Sachs, niece, Kelly Sachs, and nephew, Christopher Kemery.
Katherine dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked tirelessly as the Food Service Director at Rosewood Nursing Home in Maple Shade, NJ, as well as at Sterling and Gloucester Manor Nursing Homes. Her work was more than a job-it was a calling. Katherine`s dedication to those she cared for was unwavering, and she brought comfort and nourishment to countless lives through her hard work and compassion.
As a boss, Katherine was known for her leadership, kindness, and dedication. She treated her employees with the utmost respect and was a mentor to many. Katherine led with a warm heart and a strong sense of responsibility, always ensuring that her team felt valued and supported. Her positive influence will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working with her.
Despite being given only six months to live following her cancer diagnosis, Katherine defied all odds, living an additional 13 years with courage and grace. Her strength and determination throughout her health battles inspired everyone who knew her. Katherine`s resilience was a testament to her indomitable spirit and her deep love for her family.
Katherine was a giving soul, always looking for ways to help others. She donated generously to various causes, including Native American societies and animal charities, among many others. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Katherine enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She was a fan of classic Chuck Norris movies and could often be found watching her favorite film, Bad Boys, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, on repeat. She also loved spending time with her beloved dog, Daisy, and treasured family gatherings, especially parties, barbecues, and camping trips. Card games, coffee, and Diet Pepsi were her go-to, and she never turned down a good conversation over a cigarette.
Katherine is survived by her brother James and her beautiful sister Linda, who was incredibly dedicated to her end-of-life care. She is also survived by her children: daughter Krystal and fiancé Andrew Byrd, and son Jason and fiancée Rachael Wyatt. Katherine`s grandchildren-Jason, Jakobi, Ace, Carmine, Lalese and Kashius-were the light of her life. She will also be lovingly remembered by the loving father of her children, Jack Wilhelm. Katherine is also survived by her nephews Frank, Jim, and Edward; nieces Jennifer and Ashley and Christopher, as well as her sister-in-law Debbie Sachs.
