Kathleen C. Craig, beloved grandmother and aunt, cherished family member and devoted friend, passed away on Nov. 27, following a complicated and extended vascular illness. She was 84.
Born in Canton, Ohio, and raised in Kokomo, Indiana, Kathleen lived a full, meaningful life. She graduated from Miami of Ohio with a degree in American Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs. She went on to work for the National Security Agency (NSA) in Washington, D.C. After marrying and having two children, Kathleen relocated to Edina, Minnesota, where she gained a reputation as a gourmet cook and was owner of the 510 Restaurant.
She is survived by grandchildren Annabelle Schutte, Madeleine Schutte, and Gabriella Tousignant; niece and caretaker Debra Boatman (James); daughter in-law Stacey Tousignant, and many extended family members including former spouse Gordon Schutte (Carol). Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Vera Craig, and her sons, Craig Schutte and Bradley Schutte. Despite painful losses, she was a pillar of strength for those around her, and her family took comfort in her gentle spirit and enduring love. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to others created a legacy of lasting memories for so many friends and family members.
A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Dec. 12 at Washburn-McReavy, W. 50th St. and Hwy. 100, Edina. Services will be held on Dec. 13 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Community, 4537 3rd Ave. S., Mpls., Minn., 55419 (visitation 12 p.m., funeral at 1 p.m.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Humane Society.
Kathleen's family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who offered their love and support during her final days. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. www.Washburn-McReavy.com
