Kathleen M. "Kathee" "Mema" Felty, 74, of Wernersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Earl R. Felty with whom she shared 38 years of marriage, celebrated on August 29th.
Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Kathee was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Margaret M. (Haynes) Gleason. Though life led her to many places, her heart remained forever tied to the family farm in her hometown of North Stonington, Connecticut-a place she always cherished.
In addition to her husband, Kathee is survived by her son, Christopher E. Morgan, husband of Leslie; her daughters, Melissa M., wife of Ryan Negri, and Amanda G., wife of Phillip White; and her stepson, Gregory R. Felty, husband of Georgia. She was a loving and proud grandmother to Taylor, Paityn, and Brody Morgan; Amancia Felty; Braedyn, Ayrleas, Esme, Willow, and Talulah White; and Cody Felty. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Harper Piano. She is survived by her siblings, Peggy A. Gleason and Thomas E. Gleason, and was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy J. Gleason. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Noodle.
A proud 1968 graduate of Wheeler High School in North Stonington, Connecticut, Kathee led a multifaceted professional life. She retired as a team leader at Wells Fargo Bank's call center and had previously worked as a executive assistant for Mazzuca Enterprises, Inc., and as an administrative assistant for her husband Earl, owner of "E.R Felty Inc. Professional Land Surveyors"
In addition to her corporate work, Kathee pursued entrepreneurship and was the former owner of Complete Image Tanning Salon.
Kathee was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church in Ashaway, Rhode Island. Deeply engaged in her community, she served on the Conrad Weiser School Board and the Wernersville Parks and Recreation Board, and was also a former Notary Public.
She had a profound love for reading and writing, and her gift for language led her to become a published poet. She especially loved spending time at the beach and boating with her husband-cherished moments that brought her peace and joy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 2nd at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. Friends and family may call for a viewing at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Hain's Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.lammandwitman.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA, Red Creek Wildlife Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital-three causes close to Kathee's heart.
