Kathleen “Katie” (Bays) Wallen, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born August 21, 1943 in New Castle to Wylie and Lena (Reno) Bays.
Katie graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School in the class of 1963. She worked for New Castle Community Schools as Cafeteria Manager and retired in 2000 after twenty years of service. Katie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Katie loved her family and was always there to lend an ear, give advice and help when needed. She enjoyed spending time at special events with her family, her church and her church family.
Those left to cherish Katie’s memory are her soul mate of 43 years, Gary Dean Razor; her beloved daughter, Anndrea (Rick) Koger of Kokomo; step-son, Jeff (Stephanie) Razor of Anderson; grandchildren, Dylan Anderson of Indianapolis, Dustin (companion: Aleisha Bruner) Anderson of Muncie, Caleb Razor and Harli Razor both of Anderson; great grandchildren, Parker Anderson, Josiah Razor, Gabriella Razor and Dasia Owens; special nephews, Steve (Susie) Owens, Stuart (Julie) Owens; special nieces, Joyce and Marsha Hinsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Wallen; four brothers, Luther, Charles, Donald and Tommy (Patty) Bays; two sisters, Aleen (Sam Owens and Anetha (Noel) Binford.
Services will be held at 1:00p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Jimmy Southerland officiating. A private burial will take place at South Mound Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. until the time of service on Friday.
