Kathleen H. Keyes, 86, passed away at her home in Sheboygan Falls on Monday, January 29, 2024.
Kathleen was born May 21, 1937 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Paul and Hilda (Marten) Reineking. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1955, and went on to study library science and insurance underwriting.
On March 2, 1957, she was united in marriage with Thomas Keyes in Cascade. The couple shared nearly 67 years together, making countless cherished memories.
For over 20 years, Kathleen worked as an underwriter for Sheboygan Falls Mutual Insurance Company. Prior, she worked at Sheboygan Falls Library for many years.
Kathy was a 60+ year member of Blessed Trinity, as well as a former member of the Sheboygan Falls Chamber Main Street and the Sheboygan Falls Woman’s Club where she was a past President. She enjoyed crocheting, and time spent with grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Avid travelers, Kathleen and Tom enjoyed countless trips set up by Joan Otto, and wintered in Texas near their son’s family for 19 years.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Tom, their son Mike (Kathy) Keyes of Austin, TX; grandchildren: Kyle (Kristin) Keyes and Kelli (Matt) Hoag; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Judy (Ralph) Knuth of Plymouth, brothers-in-law Gilbert Keyes of Sheboygan and Wayne (Kay) Keyes of Plymouth, special nieces Leah Knuth and Lori Gumm, other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Jackie Keyes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Blessed Trinity in Sheboygan Falls with Father Jonathon Schmeckel officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 4:00-5:00PM.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in her name to Blessed Trinity or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
