Kathleen "Kay" (Keefe) Morancy

Kathleen (Keefe) Morancy, 87, affectionately known as Kay, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. She was born in Dover, NH on February 6, 1938, the daughter of Francis Paul and Bertha (Gwiazda) Keefe.

A lifelong resident of Dover, Kay was deeply rooted in her community and faith. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Church in Dover, where she found strength and fellowship throughout her life. For 19 years, she proudly served as an Elk with the Dover Elks Lodge #184, where she built meaningful friendships and gave generously of her time and heart.

Her joy for life was unmistakable. Kay loved to dance and spent countless evenings playing cards with her dear friends Alice and Jackie, filling the room with laughter and stories. She shared a lifelong bond with her dear friend Jean Fenerty and was known for her culinary talents that were legendary-her famous carrot cake and pies were staples at family gatherings and community events alike.. She had a playful side too, enjoying scratch tickets and summer trips to York Beach, where a visit to The Goldenrod was always part of the tradition.

Above all, Kay was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her love was steady, her warmth unforgettable. She shared a special bond with her granddaughter Michelle-a relationship filled with laughter, deep connection, and mutual admiration.

She is survived by her children: David Morancy, James Morancy, and Karen Morancy; Her Daughter in law Trinh Pham; her granddaughters Crystal Morancy; Michelle Jones (spouse Samantha Jones); and her great-grandchildren Keeghan, Benjamin, Ensley, and Beckett. She also leaves behind her siblings Carolyn Twohig, Paul Keefe, Raymond Keefe and Joan Neal, along with many nieces and nephews, including one especially close niece, Wendy Morancy Brown.

Kay was predeceased by her husband George Morancy of 56 years; her son Raymond Morancy; her brothers Richard, and James Keefe; and her sister Patricia Keefe.

Those who knew Kay will remember her radiant smile that could light up any room, her quick wit paired with a contagious laugh, and the joy she brought to every gathering. Her presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As Kay would say: "Carry on."

May her memory be a source of comfort and strength to all who loved her.

Services will be held at St. Joseph's Parish of Assumption, 150 Central Avenue Dover, NH 03820, on September 25 at 11:00am followed by a graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery. A celebration will be held at the Dover Lodge of Elks 184 in the Spring.
