Kathleen Lynn Sheckells

Kathleen Lynn Sheckells, age 48, of Kelseyville, California, passed away on December 14, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Kathleen was born on April 14, 1977, in Whittier, California. From a young age, she carried a heart full of compassion and a deep sense of purpose to make a difference in the lives of others. Throughout her life, Kathleen devoted herself to helping people in need. As a social worker, she served as a powerful advocate for women, spouses, and families struggling with addiction, violence, and economic hardship. Later, she found great joy and meaning as a teacher for developmentally delayed children, giving her students not only knowledge but also patience, kindness, and unconditional support. Kathleen's love of gardening and camping reflected her appreciation for the beauty and peace of nature. She found happiness in simple moments-planting flowers, sitting by a campfire, or spending time with her family. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unwavering, and her generosity seemed endless. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Gordon Sheckells; her children, Austin, Antoni, and Cheyenne; and her precious grandsons, Dominic and Lawrence, who brought her endless joy. Kathleen is also survived by her parents Jimmy and Lori Triplett; sisters Jamie Minkel, Holli Carano, and Sarah Aldana; her brother Killian Triplett; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband's parents, Bob and Sarah Sheckells, and her sister, Jackie Lomba. Service will be held at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, 901 W Second Street, Benicia, CA 94510 on Monday December 29 2025 at 11:00 AM. In remembrance of Kathleen's caring spirit, the family asks that donations be made to cancer research at UCSF or Stanford Medical Centers. Kathleen's heart was big enough to hold everyone she met. Her love, her laughter, and her light will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.
