Obituary of Kathleen A. Troast
Kathleen A. Troast, long time resident of Melbourne, FL, passed peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Kathleen was born on May 9, 1933, in Paterson NJ to Margaret and Joseph Redmond and is the youngest of three children. Kathleen married Rin in 1954 and enjoyed 68 years of a loving marriage where she became the doting mother of five children, two boys and three girls. Kathleen is predeceased by her parents (Margaret and Joseph), sisters (Isabel and Dorothy), and son (Glenn). She is survived by her adoring husband Rin, her children Marianne (John) Duke, Laura (Bernard) Schramm, Kathy (Bo) Nestor, and Mark (Deborah) Troast and daughter-in-law Marjorie along with 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with another great grandchild on the way, and 3 nieces and a nephew. Her passion was her family, and she was at her happiest at family gatherings. She enjoyed playing golf with the local ladies' golf association. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Cancer and Healing Prayer Ministry. Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, June 16th at Ascension Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the church, cancer, or heart society of your choice.
