Kathleen M. Zynda, age 69, of South Dayton and the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center passed away on September 9, 2024, at Buffalo General Hospital. The daughter of the late Arthur and Agnes (Wolcz) Zynda, Kathy was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School and attended Jamestown Business College. Kathy will be remembered for her kind heart, big smile, outgoing personality and generosity. She enjoyed shopping and shared many of her special purchases with those she cared about. Kathy loved her family, her friends, and was a supporter of several animal rescue organizations. She enjoyed traveling, particularly to the Southern states and Florida. She sought out sandy beaches and lighthouses, always keeping a look out for dolphins and manatees on her journeys. Prior to her retirement Kathy was employed by New York State. She found so much satisfaction in caring for and interacting with the disabled at JN Adam and in various group homes. She is survived by her sister Nancy (Edmond} Kirchmeyer of Fredonia and her 2 brothers A. Robert (June Cleveland} Zynda and Thomas Zynda of South Dayton.
