It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Zynda on November 1, 2024, at the age of 89. Ralph was born on May 18, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to Leo and Ameila (nee: Bozynski) Zynda.
Ralph met the love of his life, his beloved wife of 65 years, Barbara Jagielo. Ralph was known for his dedication, love, and support for his family and friends. Along with his wife, he was a member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Warren, Michigan.
Before he retired, Ralph worked as a truck driver for General Motors, where he was truly loved by all his co-workers. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid hockey player and loved playing with the senior men's hockey leagues at the Warren and Fraser Ice Arenas. He especially cherished his grandchildren and celebrated their achievements, attending many of their school and sporting events.
Preceded in joining the Lord by his mother and father, Leo and Amelia, his brother, Leo Zynda, and his sister, Dorothy Koch.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Richard) Walawender, son, Steven Ralph (Sharon) Zynda; grandchildren, Nicole Tabin, Andrew (Katelyn) Walawender, Teresa Walawender, Haley (Brady) Campbell, John Zynda, and Joseph Zynda; great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Clara Tabin; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation Monday, November 11, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 12, starting at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church, 2500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren, Michigan. Ralph's final resting place will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
