Kathryn Lee Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM - Kathryn Lee (Nixon) Cunningham, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date. Kathy was a 1965 graduate of Therrell High School in Atlanta. After high school, Kathy married the love of her life, Robert Cunningham. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in December 2025. Kathy later went to cosmetology school as a hairdresser while her husband served in the Navy. She loved outdoors camping with her family and traveling. Kathy enjoyed being active by playing tennis, softball and was in a bowling league in her early years. She was an adored grandmother; well known for her love and kindness for her grandchildren that knew no bounds. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Hardy Walter and Kathryn (Williamson) Nixon. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Allen Cunningham, Loganville, GA; daughter, Tiffany (Ron) Spink, Haymarket, VA; son, Bobby Cunningham, Loganville, GA; grandchildren, Parker Spink; Camille Spink; Triston (Briana) Cunningham; Justin Cunningham; Tyler Cunningham; great grandchildren, Oliver and Amelia Cunningham; sister Judy (Billy) Haygood, Blairsville, GA; brother John (Shawn) Nixon, Blairsville, GA; many nieces and nephews.
