Kathryn (Kathy) Ann Davis, age 79 was born on July 23, 1946 to James (Jim) and Mary (Sullivan) Morris, went home to her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2025 at the OSU James Hospital/Hospice of Central Ohio.
Kathy was born and raised in Lima, Ohio and was a 1964 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She went on to graduate from the Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing on August 23, 1968. Kathy became employed by Lima Memorial Hospital, where she worked for 50 years. Her time there impacted countless patients, families and colleagues. Her care for others was a light visible to all who knew her. Kathy attended the Church of God in Lima and in Bellefontaine for her entire adult life. She served in her church in various capacities, and sang praises to her Lord with the beautiful voice He blessed her with.
Kathy is survived by her son Timothy "Jamie" Davis and his wife Jennifer Davis (Bellefontaine), and her granddaughters Jillian and Josephine Davis (Dublin). The love she had for her family was beyond measure. She was their biggest fan, particularly of her granddaughters' musical talents.
Kathy's siblings are: Linda (Carl) Skelly (both deceased), Beth (Fred) Snyder, and Jim (Jody) Morris. Kathy was blessed with many nephews and nieces. She also had many dear friends that felt like family to her.
Kathy was an avid reader and was known to read a lengthy chapter book in a day. Her absolute favorite read was the books of the Bible. She had many of the scriptures memorized and ready to share with others or to include in her prayers. It was a tradition to read the Bible's Christmas story of the birth of Jesus at the family Christmas gathering. Her granddaughters knew that gift opening came after reading the story of Jesus' birth. It is a tradition they will continue to carry on. Kathy was also known to be a prayer warrior. If she knew you, it was a guarantee that she had prayed for you faithfully.
Kathy always put others first. She was well-known for her amazing Chex mix. It was shared with so many people in her life, and everyone loved it! She had a way of making others feel like they were the most important person on earth. Her listening ear, heart of gold, and selfless personality was appreciated by all.
Jesus was by her side through every joy and every sorrow in life. She shared her love for her Lord with all who knew her. Kathy's family was her most prized earthly gift. She cared for them with every part of her being. Everyone knew that Kathy prayed for them. She was known to drive by their home, school or workplace while praying for them. God was most definitely pleased with her prayer warrior servanthood. Lastly, whether one was reading her cards, talking to her on the phone, or even speaking to her in person, she would always tell them "God Bless". So in the words of Kathy Davis to all who read this, "God bless".
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES - SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor Ed Green to officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
