Kathryn "Kathy" Elaine Diedenhofer, age 78, of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on August 9, 2025.

Kathy was born in Pineville, Kentucky to Flem and Pauline Shoupe. She later moved to Fort Thomas where she attended Johnson Elementary School and became a proud graduate of Highlands High School in 1966.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and me-maw. She was actively involved in her children's lives, volunteering for the PTA, serving as a Girl Scout leader, coaching girls' softball, and cheering on her children and grandchildren at countless events. Her enthusiastic support touched not only her family, but also the community around her.

In addition to caring for her family, Kathy was a hardworking and dedicated professional who spent many successful years with Western & Southern. In her spare time, she loved to dance, and she enjoyed bowling, fishing, and gardening. She also loved spending time outdoors in the sun, especially at her river camp with her husband, Harry.

Kathy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Flem Roland Shoupe, her mother, Easter Pauline Shoupe (nee: Steppe), and her brothers, F.R. "Butch" Shoupe, Jr., and William Kevin Shoupe. Kathy is survived by her husband, Harry Diedenhofer, Jr., her daughters, Michelle Weber (Tomas Jansson), Carla Weber (Kenny Urlage), and Kimberly Weber (Ryan Wall), her stepsons, Troy Diedenhofer (Terry Meyers) and Timothy Diedenhofer (Donna), and her grandchildren, Ella, Lydia, and Ethan Grimm, Xander and Mikaela Kathryn Wall, and Joseph, Jacob, and Brady Diedenhofer.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky. Following the funeral, Kathy's family will host a Celebration of Life from 12:00 - 3:00 PM at the Southgate Community Center. Online condolences may also be given at www.dmefuneral.com.
