Obituary of Kathryn Ann Freimuth (Mehaffey)
Kathryn A. Freimuth age 73, of Maplewood MN Passed away August 24th, 2024.
She is preceded in death by the LOVE of her life and husband Dick C. Freimuth (February 19th 2022), parents James and Doris (Anderson) Mehaffey.
Survived by her siblings, brother Harold Mehaffey and loving former sister-in-law Julie, niece's Meghan Brawford (Zach), grandnephews Harlow and Archer, Melissa Larsen (Kyle) and soon to be baby Larsen, brother Thomas Mehaffey and neice Shantel Radermacher, sister Janice Mehaffey and nephew Tucker Tomlin, sister-in-laws ( husbands side) Diane Gould (Dick) and Louise Zinkevcz. Her son Troy Dowdell (Marisha) and granddaughters Kalena and Kalissa.
Kay was dedicated to her career serving the people of Ramsey county and the state of Minnesota and beyond for years. She was most passionate about spending time with her husband enjoying his passion of sailing, her passions of volunteering and/or enjoying artistic or challenging learning experiences through various avenues which included, gardening, traveling, reading,and family.
A celebration of Kay's life will be held at the Cremation Society of MN, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St Paul,MN, on September 13th 2024 at 3pm. Kay requested MANY FLOWERS at her funeral, Japanese Ikebana style and/or garden flowers. If wish to match coloring and pick style please order from Hummingbird Floral and gifts, St Paul, Mn. OR flowers from your own gardens to help create a sea of flowers honoring her wish of MANY FLOWERS. If you wish to do Memorials also make them to Micheal J. Fox foundation or plant a hosta tree on Kay's behalf.
