Kathryn E. "Kay" Pinkerton, age 96, wife of the late Robert E. Pinkerton Sr. of North East, MD, formerly of Royersford, PA, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at home. Born on May 3, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Fowler) Habermann.
Mrs. Pinkerton was a graduate of Mastbaum High School. She worked as a teacher's aide for many years at both the Spring-Ford Middle and High School. She was a longtime member of the Royersford Bible fellowship, and attended Wesley Methodist Church while living in Maryland. She loved creating ceramics and knitting. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pinkerton is survived by two children, Robert E. Jr., husband of Shelly Pinkerton of North East, MD and Patti P., wife of Dave Herr of Limerick, PA; eight grandchildren, Amy Troxell-Dorgan, Heather Troxell-Wertz, Amy Billetta, Pam Loescher, Dana LaMacchia, Derek Herr, Kimberly Herr-Keeley, and Abby Pinkerton; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Pinkerton; one grandson, David Herr; and two sisters, Ethel Bergey and Ruth MacWilliams.
A visitation will take place at the Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S. Main Street, North East, MD 21901 on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend her funeral service at the Royersford Bible Fellowship Church, 431 N. Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468 on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00 am, with a visitation taking place in the Church from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Ronald Erb. Burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 3026, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
