Kathy Alexander Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 6, 2023.
Kathy Lynne Alexander left this earth on September 3, 2023. We know she is rejoicing in heaven with Jesus, her mother Lynne and other loved ones. While life was often a struggle for Kathy due to a traumatic brain injury sustained at age 17, her indomitable spirit served her in good stead and her joy at seeing her family and love for Jesus never faltered. Her mischievous smile that could light up a room and her snarky sense of humor will be sorely missed by her family and dedicated team of caregivers from ASN.
Kathy was blessed by having many loyal and caring people who took care of her on a daily basis and her family is very grateful for the love shown to her by those caregivers and her fellow church members. Born on June 7, 1965 in Ft. Smith, AR, Kathy attended elementary school and junior high in Mulberry, AR and attended high school in Alma, AR.
She was a member of the Westark Church of Christ in Ft. Smith, AR and the Mt. Comfort Church of Christ in Fayetteville, AR. Kathy is survived by her father Jack, sister Elise and husband Michael Taylor and two children Nick Taylor and Cody Taylor, and her brother John and his wife Melanie and three children, Davidson, Harry and Mac.
Private family graveside will be at Alexander Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be given to Arkansas Support Network, 6836 Isaac's Orchard Road, Springdale, AR 72762.

My family and I met Kathy a couple of years after her accident, but she always had a warm smile and friendly greeting for us. After we moved to the Fayetteville area, we attended church with her. After leaving the area, we would periodically return and would see Kathy at church services. She never changed - she always had that warm smile and friendly greeting.

We met Kathy when she was in the 5th grade at College Terrace Church of Christ. What a sweet, vivacious little girl she was. Then she grew into a lovely teenager and she was in our home for the teens activities. One night the kids were playing games and Carrons and she was asked to play and she said, "I'm not very athletic." Ofcourse, we have enjoyed reminding her of that and laughing about it. We loved and appreciated Jack and Lynn all through the years. May God Bless you Jack, Elise and John. With our love, Jack and Rita Harriman.

I met Kathy at the Senior Exercise Center. She always was joyful and so much fun to talk and joke with. Her strong sense of friendship, as well as physical strength always amazed me and gave me a wonderful gratitude of thanks that she was my friend. My heart hurts that I will not see her each week at the center, but I rejoice that she now is in perfect fitness at God's gym. I love you Kathy and thank you for your love and friendship. I have been blessed by you in so many ways. Vickie
