Kathy Lynn Burchinal

Kathy Lynn Burchinal, 64, of Lafayette, LA passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
Kathy was born on July 10, 1959, in Pensacola, Florida to parents. Daniel and Clara Vinson. Kathy was raised in Milton, Florida along with her rambunctious siblings and graduated from high school in 1977.
Kathy met the love of her life, David Burchinal in 1988 and they were married in 1989. Their journey took them across the country over his 28 years in the Marine Corps. She enthusiastically assumed her role as a supportive military spouse and loved attending all of the Marine Corps Birthday Balls. David may have been the Colonel but Kathy was the General.
She is survived by her loving husband, David, and her three children, Christy Bosch, Danny Stokes, and Heidi Burchinal. Kathy also leaves behind her five siblings, Sandy Lipp, Judy Lipp, Keith Vinson, Kenny Vinson, and Connie Wilburn and her ten grandchildren.
Kathy was a Vinson and inseparable from her siblings during 64 years on Earth. While in-person meetings were not always regular (or too regular!), she kept in touch with everyone from Arizona to Oklahoma to Florida.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, 6405 Highway 90 W, Milton, Florida 32570 with visitation from 10:00-11:00am and services at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow the service at Serenity Gardens, Milton, Florida.
