Kathy Ann Goans

Kathy Ann Goans, 52, of Columbia Missouri, was called home to her heavenly angels on April 25th, 2025. She passed away peacefully in her home due to complications with diabetes, and her recent diagnosis with MAC lung disease.
Born on February 27, 1973, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Bobby and Debra Willard. She also had 2 sisters; Angie Tripplet and Wendy Hufstedler. All of Maynard, Arkansas.
Kathy was the proud and devoted mother of three children: Katie, Brianna, and Robin Bland. She was the cherished grandmother of four grandchildren: Luke, Vivian, Camryn, and Eliana. All of Columbia, Missouri. She had 6 nieces of Maynard, Arkansas, and countless other extended family members. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.
She graduated from Maynard High School in 1991. She went on to earn her RN, BSN degree from Arkansas State University in 2006. Kathy served a life full of compassion, service, and light. She dedicated many years of her life to nursing, where her kindness, strength, and unwavering care touched countless lives in Northeast Arkansas and Mid Missouri.
Outside of her work, Kathy was a vibrant spirit who found joy in the simple things-nurturing her beautiful plants, sitting outside in the sunshine, spending time with her beloved dogs, Betty and Brandon; and making memories with those she loved most. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting presence of unconditional love.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Debra Willard, and her grandparents, Herbert and Rae Miller. All of Maynard, Arkansas. Along with her dogs; Max, Dora, and Jack.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held in her honor at Nilson-Millard Burial Center. 5611 E St Charles Road Columbia Mo. Friday May 2 at 5 pm. There will be a visitation from 4 pm to 5 pm. A funeral service will follow at 5 pm. All who loved her are welcome to attend and share, in remembrance of her beautiful life.
