Kathy Jo Jones

Kathy Jo Jones of Rolla, Missouri passed away suddenly at the St. Claire Hospital in Fenton, Missouri on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Kathy was born in Rolla, Missouri on September 25, 1997 to Richard Baker and Melissa Conaway.
Kathy loved the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking. She was a very gifted artist. She certainly had talent with pencil drawings. Most of all she adored her family which besides her immediate family consists of her son, Gannon Lane Cahill, and her three-day old daughter Linleigh Grace Jones.
Kathy Jo leaves behind a legacy of love for her family. She is survived by her children, Gannon, and Linleigh; her mother, Melissa Smith and friend, Michael Miller, of Rolla, MO; father, Richard Baker, and friend Kim Stanfield, of Lebanon, MO; grandmother, Brenda Parsons, of Rolla, MO; grandfather, Dale Conaway; brothers, Kyle Wilson, of Dixon, MO, Austin Baker, of Lebanon, MO, and Gavin Baker, of Lebanon, MO; sisters, Jessica Baker, of Springfield, MO, Diamond Conaway, of Lebanon, MO, and Jade Shelton, of Rolla, MO, and Kaleigh Baker, of Lebanon, MO; step-mother Ashley Baker, of Lebanon, MO; a of host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Kathy Jo was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Carolyn Beal, and step-grandfather, Tom Parsons.
Funeral services for Kathy Jo will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Rolla Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Brother Mick Thrasher officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel prior to the service on Wednesday, from 11AM until service time. Memorials are apricated to the family to help with funeral expenses, cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
