Kathy Marie "Hammock" Phillips

Kathy Marie Phillips, 62, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed from this life on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County.

Kathy was born on Sunday, April 14, 1963, in Gainesboro, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late P.J. Hammock and the late Jo Helen (Stafford) Hammock.

Kathy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. When Kathy was younger, she loved to travel with Lloyd and her family, especially to Daytona Beach and the Smoky Mountains. She loved to crochet, and staying at home with her dogs, who were more like her children.

Kathy is survived by, 3 Siblings, Betty Brown and her husband, Albert, Donnie Hammock and his wife, Kathy, and Ronnie Hammock, and his wife, Shelia; Sister-in-law, Shelia Hammock; 5 Nieces, Renee Burris and her husband, Michael, Stephanie Mesagna and her husband, Ralph, Jessica Keen, Vanessa Hammock, and Kellie Hammock; 2 Nephews, Terry Brown and his wife, Angela, and Travis Hammock and his wife, Brittanny; 6 Great-Nieces, Lindsay, Brooklynn, Kessie, Anna, Lennon, and Addy; 4 Great-Nephews, Zach, Josh, Kyler, and Tatum; Special Companions, Snuggles and Abby.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Lloyd Phillips; Brother, Mark Hammock; and Nephew, Tracy Hammock.

Funeral Service for Kathy Marie Phillips will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. John Pippin officiating. Entombment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again, Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
