Kathy Jane Selvey

Kathy Jane (Harley) Selvey, 71, peacefully passed away at home on September 4, 2025.
She was born March 16, 1954, in Muncie, the daughter of George and Marilyn (Harley) Selvey.
Kathy graduated from Delta High School in 1972 and was very active in extracurricular school activities, such as Delta Cheer/Dance Group and DECA.
After graduation, Kathy chose to work for Ball Corporation in Muncie where she worked until retiring in 2016. Since then, she remained active visiting friends and family, and spending time at their lake home with David. And her loving dogs.
Kathy is survived by her long-term partner, David Segraves; her aunt, Carolyn Gill; her sister, Susan (Jack) Wilson; her brothers, Robert (Janie Harker) Harley, and Bruce (Kelly) Harley; one grandson; five nieces and a nephew.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathy played an important role in the lives of David's children as a beloved stepmother. She also went to Kentucky weekly to babysit her grandson.
Kathy was always happy and cheerful "Ray of Sunshine" and was always willing to help and contribute when needed.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers and Hospice staff for their compassion and care during her final days.
Instead of a funeral, there will be a short Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Desoto United Methodist Church, 6309 N. Co. Rd. 500 East, Muncie. A reception will follow in the Community Room of the church for family and friends of Kathy, until 3:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or any other organization that you may support
