Katie Mae Holbert

Katie Mae Holbert, daughter of the late Sam McDowell and Lee Bess Dailey was born on March 31, 1938 in Fountain, AL. She departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2025 in Vallejo, California. Katie lived a full life, dedicated to her family and friends. She loved attending church and one of her favorite pastimes was watching the Golden State Warriors play basketball. She could not contain her excitement and would often yell at the TV as if she were in the stands, cheering on her favorite players. Her kindness, generosity, and warmth touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Katie was a loving wife to the late Price Holbert for 65 years, a devoted mother to Sondra Moore (Luther), Keith Holbert, Karl Holbert, Sharon Holbert and the late Bernard Holbert. She was also a proud grandmother to Kendra Tyson (Mahir), Adrian Holbert, Karl Holbert, Jr. (Ashley), Keith Holbert, Jr. (Maria) and Jamario Holbert.
