Born April 5, 1992, to Lynn and Becky Byington, Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Nancy Trent, Joyce Byington; her uncle, Donnie Wright; and her best friend Corey Hagood.
Kaitlyn graduated from Volunteer High School in 2010 and earned her Bachelor's degree in Youth and Family Ministries & Human Services from the University of the Cumberlands in 2015.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Connor Ingerick of Church Hill; stepson, Clayton Ingerick of Sylva, NC; parents, Lynn and Becky Byington; sisters, Amber Williams (Dustin); Esther Rosette; brother, Hunter Byington; and her beloved papaw, James Byington; special aunt, Jamie Trent; aunts, Vicki Ramsey (Mickey), Tamie Gamble (Steve), Kathy Dougherty (Jeff), and Ellen Justice; uncle, Roy Wright; special niece and nephew, Ellie and Oliver; as well as many other dear nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home from 3:15 – 4:00 PM. A celebration of Katie's life will be held at a later date.
