Katie Tyson Obituary
Katie was born August 18, 1947 to the late William "Bill" and Geneva Greene Webb. She was loved by many that knew her. She was a homemaker in the later days of her life. She brought joy, laughter and smiles to those that were around her. One of the most fond moments that her friends have of her were the times that they would all sit around and play two card games titled rook and set back. Katie loved her church family as well as all of her many friends. She is also preceded in death by her brother William Roger Webb and sister Barbara Webb Blake.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years Mark Tyson of the home and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home Ellerbe Chapel with Rev. Wayne Luck and Rev. Stan Layton officiating. Interment will follow the service at Chappell Cemetery in Ellerbe.
Family will receive friends and family from 6pm ~ 8pm on Saturday March 16, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
Memorials may be made to Ellerbe First Presbyterian Church PO Box 116 Ellerbe, NC 28338 and Richmond County Hospice 1119 N US Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
