Kaye Donaldson Raiford, born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 11, 2024, at the age of 85. Kaye was predeceased by her loving husband, Douglas W. Raiford. They were married for 61 wonderful years and shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Kaye lived the majority of her life in Texas and had an unwavering love for all things Southern, especially the food. Her southern roots influenced her warm hospitality and the way she cherished family gatherings.
For 38 years, Kaye was the proud owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics in Manchester, Missouri. Through her work, she helped countless women feel confident and beautiful, often sharing her signature charm and kindness along with expert advice. Her store became a haven where customers found not only products but also encouragement and self-assurance.
She was a devoted mother to her three children, Brad Raiford (Kim Raiford), Lezlee Raiford (Keith Vach), and Craig Raiford (Jill Raiford). She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to her eight wonderful grandchildren: Drew Raiford, Hannah Raiford, Lauren Raiford, Jordyn Lucas, Dana Lucas, Luke Raiford, Eli Raiford, and Collin Raiford.
A celebration of Kaye's remarkable life will take place at St. Mark Presbyterian Church at 601 Claymont Drive, Ballwin, Missouri 63011 on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. Donations in Kaye's memory may be made to St. Mark Presbyterian Church or the American Lung Association.
