Kayla Ford

Kayla Sue Ford, age 37, passed away at St. John's Hospital on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Kayla was very much loved and will be heavily missed by those who were blessed enough to be touched by her light. Survivors include her mother Sherri Lynn Perry (Husband Joe), her Ford family relatives, her sister Kylie Hammond and her step parents Curtis and Diane Hammond and four stepbrothers Todd Perry, Phillip Perry, Seth Hammond, Taylor Hammond, her Grandfather Duane Davis (Sharon), Uncles Steve (Karen) and Jason (Susan) Davis, her "Second Mom" Great Aunt Joyce Angel (Steven) and a whole host of cousins/first friends.
. Her most important legacy are her two beautiful children, Nicholas and Aubrey, for whom life will never be the same, along with their Dad, Kayla's long time partner, Sean Wilson and her bonus son Trey. She was preceded in death by multiple grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as her sister Nichole and her stepbrother Kevin.
Kayla had a beautiful spirit and was passionate about helping those underserved, with a special place in her heart for those who are homeless. She participated in food and clothing drives and donated her time delivering meals.
Her work time was primarily spent providing services for clients in adult group homes, and she was adamant about protecting the rights of those in her care. Because of her commitment and compassion, she was often a favorite staff member of her clients and she ensured that those without family at the holidays were welcomed into her home.
She was artistic, creative, and had an exceptional ability to express herself through writing, whether it was just her observation and reflections on life, journaling her varied experiences, or writing lyrics for music, she had a way of using language to express the deepest emotional nuances of life her voice will be missed.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Beardstown. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
