Kayla Elizabeth Goetz

Kayla Elizabeth Goetz, 36, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday April 29, 2025. She was born on January 18, 1989, to her loving parents Todd and Teri (Rees) Lee. She married her beloved husband Michael Goetz on August 23, 2014, and who survives in Whitehouse.
Kayla is a high school graduate at Evergreen in Fulton County. After graduating high school, she received her bachelor's degree at the University of Toledo. She worked for over 12 years at Medical Mutual and was a devoted mother of two wonderful boys, who were the light of her life. Her passion for cooking brought people together. She found peace in quiet moments with a good book and joy on her trips to Lake Michigan with her husband and friends. As a loving wife, she shared a deep and meaningful bond, building a home filled with laughter, care, and unconditional love. Family was the center of her world, and her loyalty to her loved ones and friends was unwavering. She was the kind of friend who showed up with a meal, a hug, or a listening ear and her gentle spirit left an imprint on everyone who knew her. Kayla will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, always.
Along with her wonderful parents and loving husband, Michael, she is survived by their 2 boys Theodore Michael, Archer James, mother and father-in-law Bill and Peggy Goetz, grandmother Pamela Lee, brother Damion (Sydney Edgmon) Baer, brother-in-law's Tad Goetz, Nick (Stacey) Goetz, Dan (Lisa) Goetz, nieces Lucy, Frances, Rose, Kate, Beatrice, Hope, aunts and uncles Dan & Melissa Rees, Steven & Emily Lee, Ron & Becky Maines, cousins Tyler and Travis Rees, Samantha, JT and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Richard & Miriam Rees and Jerry Lee.
A visitation for Kayla will be held Thursday May 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home located at 7220 Dutch Rd Waterville, Ohio. A Rosary service will take place at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 14010 S River Rd, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522.
In lieu of flowers, Mike set up a scholarship account for Teddy 7, and Archie, 4. Checks are preferred and can be made payable to Michael Kevin Goetz 6241 Cemetery Rd. Whitehouse, Ohio 43571.
