Kaylene S. Swartz, 79, of Mifflin, where she was a resident of Locust Grove Retirement Village, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on December 2, 1945 in Thompsontown, Juniata County she was the daughter of the late Raymond S. and Mary Ella (Speece) Bender.
She is survived by her son, Gerald D. Swartz, Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Harrisburg, sisters Annamae Haubert and Maude Speece and husband Robert, both of Thompsontown, as well as several nieces and nephews. Kaylene was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald D. Swartz, Sr., who passed away in 2017 and her son, Douglas Eugene Swartz, who passed away in 1985.
Kaylene worked at Empire Kosher in Mifflintown.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown.
