Keefe William "Willie" Davis, 74, of Lafayette, IN passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. Keefe was born on July 20, 1951 to Jack and Miriam (Armantrout) Davis of Frankfort, IN. On December 31,1992 Keefe and Susan Spencer Davis of Mace, IN were married in Charleston, South Carolina.
Keefe grew up in West Point, IN and graduated from Culver Military Academy and Southern Illinois University. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant upon his retirement after 24 years of proudly serving his country. His military career took him to many various parts of the world, including Japan, Thailand and the Philippines to name just a few. For the past 25 years Keefe was employed with State Farm Insurance Co. as an insurance adjuster.
Keefe was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Lester Eugene and Patsy Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Susie, of 32 years; daughter Christine McGlasson (husband Ben) of Fulton, Maryland; son Jae Davis of South Carolina; step-son, Christopher Rugh of Woodstock, GA; step-daughter Tina Gentry (Gary Simpson) of Crawfordsville; grandchildren: Carter, Mia, Jack, Grant and Miles McGlasson; Grahm and Jade Gentry; and Ashton Rugh. Also surviving are many other extended family members whom he loved and cherished.
Keefe enjoyed the outdoors and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, target shooting and bowling where he won many trophies and awards. He also earned the South Carolina Top Angler BASS Southern Division Championship in 1994. Keefe especially enjoyed spending time with family. He was the heartbeat of the family get-togethers-leaving a lasting impact on all who knew and loved him. He was so kind and giving and treated EVERYONE as his own.
A Memorial Service to honor Keefe will be held at Fishers Funeral Chapel & Cremation, 914 Columbia St., Lafayette, IN on Sunday, Nov. 23. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm with Military honors rendering. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Keefe's memory to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T) for homeless veterans.
