Keith Abbott

Keith Eugene Abbott (age 69) of Meadville PA passed away peacefully at his home on May 8, 2024.
The son of Kenneth Abbott and Dorothy (Sikorski) Abbott-Slyker, Keith was born June 25, 1954 in Meadville PA, graduated from Meadville High School, Penn State Behrend with an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, and completed apprenticeship training as a Journeyman at Talon. Skilled in the tool and die industry, he worked at several local tool shops and taught classes at PMI.
Keith had an infectious laugh, always willing to lend a hand when needed. He enjoyed woodworking, homesteading on the farm, gardening, raising chickens, pigs, and cows. He was active in the 4H community and the NWPA beekeepers association.
Surviving are his wife, Debra (Heinlein) Abbott, Meadville, daughters Jennifer McDonald (James) from Red Lion PA and Kelly Humphrey (Doug) from Concord NC, two granddaughters Brynlee and Maryn McDonald, sisters Denise Weaver (Randy) from Apollo PA, and Cynthia Wenzelburger from Saxonburg PA, a brother Kenneth P Abbott III from Los Angeles CA, former spouse and mother of his daughters Rosemarie Deeter from Meadville, three step children, and 9 step grandchildren.
In remembrance, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at his home on June 29, 2024 at 4 pm.
