Mr. Keith Arnell Ross

Keith Arnell Ross passed away peacefully at his home on January 9,
2025 with his wife and family by his side.
Keith was born on January 7, 1964, in Gainesville, Florida, to the late Ladis Wilbur Ross and Lillie Mae Davis Ross. Keith was a devoted husband, father, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and godfather and true Friend. He is preceded in death by his father, Ladis W. Ross; mother, Lillie Mae Ross; and brother, Demetrius Ross.
Keith is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Shivonie Ross, three devoted children, LaTara Ross, Keith LaJarvis Ross, and Graylon Ross; three bonus children, Greg Hall, Ram Hoobraj, and Rohit Hoobraj.
Keith also leaves behind one sister and seven brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Throughout his high school years, Keith demonstrated exceptional athletic prowess, earning letters in four sports: football, basketball, baseball, and track. Keith's academic and athletic achievements presented him with multiple college opportunities.
Initially, he chose to sign a scholarship with the University of Florida to play football. However, he was subsequently drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies to play professional baseball. Following three years in the minor leagues, Keith revisited his desire to play college football and signed with Florida State University.
Upon completing his tenure at FSU, Keith graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He then embarked on a career as a police officer, driven by a passion to serve his community with dignity, character, love, and a commitment to protect and defend.
Keith served for over 20 years in various counties, including Alachua, Baker, and Seminole, before retiring on January 9, 2019.
The viewing is Friday, January 24, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Grace at Fort Clarke in Gainesville, FL.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Grace at Fort Clarke in Gainesville, FL.
