Keith Nolan Volkart

Keith Nolan Volkart, age 65 of Hatton, Missouri, passed away November 7, 2024 in Boone Hospital Columbia after a short illness. Keith was born November 9, 1958 in California, Missouri to Clarence and Carmen Volkart.
Keith was a graduate of the Missouri School for the Deaf, in Fulton, Missouri and went on to pursue a career in welding with Central Electric Cooperative before working many dedicated years for Square D in Columbia, Missouri.
Keith had a passion for country living from a young age and continued that lifestyle as an adult living on his small piece of land in Hatton where he enjoyed helping his neighbors with their farming duties. Growing up, Keith attended Corticelli Baptist Church in Russellville, Missouri with his family. Most recently, Keith attended Rising Sun Baptist Church in Auxvasse, Missouri.
Despite being deaf, Keith loved dancing to country music and was always one of the best dancers on the floor with the Country Waltz being his favorite dance. In his earlier years, Keith enjoyed participating in tractor pulls with his own Ford tractor and that passion for tractors carried with him throughout his life. After he stopped participating in tractor pulls himself, he continued to be an avid spectator and always made it a priority to attend various tractor pulls at different county fairs throughout the year. In addition to his love for tractors, Keith also had a love for the Kansas City Chiefs and the MIZZOU football and basketball teams and thoroughly enjoyed watching those games. For those who had the pleasure of communicating with Keith through sign language, written notes or even reading lips, it was clear that he had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother Stephen Lee Volkart.
Keith is survived by four siblings, Gary Volkart, Cheryl Krattli (Bob), Deanna Gesch, Randy Volkart (Nancy) and nine nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Weber-Millard Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Mike Koelling.
In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Rising Sun Baptist Church of Auxvasse, Missouri.
