Kelly Clifton Brown of Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Brown of Springfield, MO; son, Scott Brown and wife Leslie Brown of Wentzville, MO; grandchildren, Kade and Kinley Brown; mother-in-law, Joan Joslin; sister-in-law, Kathy Nunn; brother-in-law, Jerry Nunn; nieces, cousins, and friends. He was preceded by his son, Andy Brown; father-in-law, James Joslin; sister, Jane Hahn; and beloved Bulldog, Gertie.
Kelly Clifton Brown was born December 2, 1952 in Springfield, MO; son of the late Clifton "Babe" Brown and wife, Mary M. Anderson Brown. On June 24th of 1977 Kelly was married to Linda Joslin. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He attended Sac River Cowboy Church. Kelly was an employee of Missouri State University for 25 years. He enjoyed shooting, meeting the Rusty Zipper Club for lunch, and was an avid Springfield Cardinal baseball and Missouri State Bears fan. Upon retirement, Kelly volunteered at Grand Oak Mission and was an active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans where he was a chaplain.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Grand Oak Mission, ? Greene County Baptist Association at 834 W. Battlefield Rd. Springfield, Mo. 65807.
Visitation will be 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Monday, July 11, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole with a full military funeral following at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery 5201 S. Southwood Rd. Springfield, Mo. 65804.
