Kelly Lynn Patterson, a beacon of kindness and warmth, left this world on May 25, 2025, at the age of 65. Born April 19, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised by the loving Lawrence and Betty (Grant) Wilson, Kelly grew into a woman whose presence was a comfort and joy to all who knew her. She spent her final days surrounded by the love of her family in
Rockwall, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of gentle compassion and enduring love.
On September 29, 1990, in Dallas, Texas, Kelly's heart found its match in Michael Jude Patterson. Their marriage was a testament to enduring partnership, marked by mutual respect and unyielding support almost 35 years. Together, they raised a daughter, Sam (Sarah Faith) Patterson, who continues the tradition of love that Kelly so effortlessly embodied.
Kelly's life was enriched by the close bonds she shared with her siblings, Leslie Michelle Cipollone, Stephanie Leeann Ramoz and husband Michael, Larry Dale Wilson and wife Karla, and Shannon Lane Wilson. Her extended family, including Uncle Wayne Wilson, Aunt and Uncle Carolyn and Tom Vines, Aunt Rebecca Lomonte, and her cherished nieces and nephews, Jason and Courtney Cepeda, Lindsey and Jesse Castillo, Corrado Cipollone, Justin and Liz Wilson, Tristan and Zoe Wilson, Amber Ramoz, Mirela Tutundzic, Zac Ramoz, Maggie and Steven Nelson, Shayne and Brit Frazier, Lindsey and Eric David, Amanda Patterson, Jennifer Patterson, Laura and Jeff Talbert, Erin Patterson, Mathew McKinzie, Rebecca and Manuel Loeffer, Emily Patterson, Claire Patterson, and Adam Patterson all held a special place in her heart, as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends too numerous to mention. She also held deep gratitude for her father- and mother-in-law, John and Mary Jane Patterson and in-laws John and Rose Patterson, Pat and Leah Patterson, Toby Patterson, Chris and Susan Patterson, who welcomed her into their family with open arms.
Professional life for Kelly was more than a job; it was an extension of her natural ability to make anyone feel welcome. As the receptionist at Steed-Flagg Law Firm, she greeted each person with a smile that could turn a day around. Her colleagues not only respected her for her work ethic but cherished her for the spirit of camaraderie she fostered within the workplace.
Kelly's interests were as nurturing as her personality. She loved flowers, not just for their beauty, but for the life they represented. Baking was another passion, through which she expressed her love for family and friends, each recipe filled with the sweetness of her affection. Decorating her home for every season and celebration, Kelly created a haven that reflected her love for life and family. Her kindness extended beyond her immediate circle to touch the lives of everyone around her. She had a special way of making each person feel valued and cared for. This loving nature extended to all living things, as she believed in the sanctity of life in all its forms.
Kelly's life was a gentle reminder that the simplest acts of kindness are often the most profound. Her legacy of love will continue to bloom, much like the flowers she so adored, in the lives of those she touched.
